2022 Vin Rouge
Awarded Bronze at the 2025 Libations National Small Producer Wine Invitational! Vin Rouge is our homage to the traditional French red blend, crafted from the very first grapes harvested from our home vineyard. This elegant wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot. Each varietal was meticulously fermented and aged separately in French barrels for two years before being blended and bottled. The result is a medium-style red wine with refined aromatics and smooth, supple tannins.
Perfect Pairings: This versatile French-style blend pairs beautifully with roasted pork tenderloin, duck confit, coq au vin, or a classic charcuterie board. Its balanced character and smooth tannins also complement aged Gruyère and other semi-hard cheeses.
Ideal Occasions: Perfect for casual weeknight dinners, wine and cheese gatherings, or any time you want an approachable yet sophisticated red. This is your everyday wine that feels special every time you pour it.
Serving Recommendations: Serve at 60-65°F (slightly below room temperature). This wine is ready to enjoy now and showcases the beautiful harmony achieved through careful blending and aging.
What to Expect: Medium-bodied with refined aromatics and smooth, supple tannins. You'll discover a harmonious blend where each varietal contributes its unique character—the bright fruit of Cabernet Franc, the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, the softness of Merlot, and the depth of Petit Verdot. This wine was bottled un-fined and unfiltered. Some sediment will form over time.
Bottles Produced: 750 | Alcohol 11.25%
