2023 Petit Verdot
Awarded Gold at the 2025 Libation National Small Producer Wine Invitational and Silver at the 2025 Libation Mid-Atlantic Wine Challenge! Petit Verdot is one of our favorite varieties to grow on the estate & in our opinion one of the best red Vinifera varieties to grow in Southeastern Pennsylvania. This 100% Petit Verdot has notes of dark fruit and coarse silky tannins that are true to the varietal. Aged for 18 months in 50% new French barrels. Drink now, but has the potential to age for many years.
Perfect Pairings: This bold Petit Verdot is exceptional with braised short ribs, lamb shanks, venison, or blue cheese. Its powerful structure and dark fruit flavors complement rich, intensely flavored dishes and stand up to strong cheeses beautifully.
Ideal Occasions: Perfect for special celebrations, holiday feasts, or impressive dinner parties where you want to serve something truly distinctive. This wine makes a statement and creates memorable moments.
Serving Recommendations: Serve at 60-65°F (slightly below room temperature). For optimal tasting, allow wine to decant for 10-15 minutes prior to consuming in order for wine to open up and show its full varietal expression.
What to Expect: Full-bodied and powerful with coarse, silky tannins and a long finish. You'll discover layers of dark fruit that evolve beautifully in the glass. This is a wine for those who love bold, structured reds with aging potential. This wine was bottled un-fined and unfiltered. Some sediment will form over time.
