A grapevines growing season is one of the few instances where the weather can make or break a vintage. The season can start out humid and wet and can finish sunny and dry and make a phenomenal wine, but the opposite is also true. We can have sunny perfect weather all season long and during the last few weeks of ripening rainy weather can dilute and alter a vintage negatively. 2025 has so far has been hot, wet and humid overall, but our vines faired through and are extremely healthy considering the season so far.
We are at the very beginning of Verasion (sugar accumulation and color change) and about a month away from harvesting our white grapes. We are hoping for some warm and dry weather!
